Duties and Qualifications: This is a key position that provides (1) critical support to the CNGB in the execution of statutory responsibilities involving the State Partnership Program and related international engagements; (2) critical link to the CJCS through the Joint Staff DJ-5 providing awareness of NGB equities and roles within the overall DoD; (3) channel of communications to inform the DoD corporate and organizational processes in which NGB participates, and through which NGB competes for resources; (4) significant exposure to national security strategy development and pre-decisional discussion of senior leaders; (5) access to a critical operational network of individuals and contacts throughout the DoD and U.S. government interagency; (6) written products routinely prepared for senior leader consumption, informing them of NGB activities in the State Partnership Program and other international military engagements; (7) direct liaison for joint force matters inherent in the National Guard Bureau as a joint activity; (8) support of the CJCS Strategic Direction to the Joint Force to "Expand the envelope of interagency and international cooperation. Promote multi-lateral security approaches and architectures to deter and if necessary, defeat aggression." Senior Service School Graduate and TS security Access Required.
