Earmarks

The purpose of this webpage is to comply with Executive Order 13457 and OMB guidance OM-09-03 which directs that written communication concerning earmarks must be posted within 30 days of receipt. This will provide transparency to the public on communications concerning earmarks identified in the Department of Defense Appropriations and Military Construction Appropriations.

The Department of Defense earmarks consist of all adds except for those removed because they are a transfer or a policy add. All earmarks identified are based on consensus between the Office of Secretary of Defense Comptroller and the Office of Management and Budget. The list of earmarks agreed upon can be found on the OMB earmarks website.
