How does your job support USSTRATCOM and our missions?
As the Senior Human Resources noncommissioned officer, I coordinate all the administrative and personnel tasks for 283 Soldiers. I also support more than 3000 other servicemembers and civilians assigned to STRATCOM. My key responsibilities are reassignments, retirements, CAC issuances, DDRs & financial transactions. In other words, my job is to allow Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and civilians to keep their minds on the mission without worrying about personnel transactions.
What do you find most rewarding about your work at USSTRATCOM?
The most rewarding thing about working at USSTRATCOM is the focus all the different services have on getting the mission accomplished.
What has been a challenge for you regarding your work at USSTRATCOM and how have you overcome that challenge?
A challenge for me has been adjusting to the different services' rank structures, but I've overcome that through cross-service training.
What is the one piece of information or advice about working at USSTRATCOM that you'd pass on to new members of the STRATCOM team?
People new to the Command should network and seek assistance. If you don't know ask.
