5/29/2012 - FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, Md. (AFNS) -- In a tri-signature memorandum, the top three Air Force leaders urged Airmen to create a culture of safety and watch out for one another.

Secretary of the Air Force Michael Donley, Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz and Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force James Roy issued the letter May 25 as part of the Critical Days of Summer 2012 kick off.

"This year's theme, 'Safety - It's Personal,' reminds us that when it comes to safety, individual decisions can directly impact loved ones, friends, co-workers and the entire Air Force family," the letter read.

It is true and sadly that many accidents outside of a war zone specially in the ZI are by a simple rule of over use of alcohol and the NO use of the seat belt. Pass the key to a buddy that is NOT over the max in alcohol. Drive and keep safe.
