HAIFA, Israel (March 14, 2011) -- Sideboys render honors to Cmdr. Kevin M. Robinson, commanding officer of USS Mason (DDG 87), as he makes his way to Mason's hanger bay for a change of command ceremony. During the ceremony, Robinson was relieved by Cmdr. Adan G. Cruz. Mason is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility. I served onboard the USS Mason allbeit for a brief period of time(about a 1 year and a half), and I can say with cofidence CDR Robinson was an outstanding man to work under. I really would like to see him promoted to Captain. Very Respectfully, Maziarz Shawn E.(US Navy Veteran)
