NASIC warrior overcomes adversity; completes triathlon

NASIC warrior overcomes adversity; completes triathlon

BREAVERCREEK, Ohio -- Curt Barnard, a civilian assigned to the National Air and Space Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, takes a break from his cycling training at the local 9/11 memorial, Aug. 29. Barnard recently competed in his first triathlon, a feat that was more difficult due to his disability. Sakura relinquishes command of NASIC

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB, Ohio -- Col. Kathleen C. Sakura relinquished command of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center during a ceremony held at the National Museum of the United States Air Force here May 30. During the ceremony, Col. Aaron M. Prupas later assumed command of NASIC. Immediately following the change-of-command, Sakura retired during a ceremony recognizing her 24 years of Air Force service. Maj. Gen. Robert P.
