SECURITY SERVICES DIRECTORATE
About the Directorate:
The Security Services Directorate provides security support to the Pentagon, Office of Secretary of Defense and Washington Headquarters Services which includes the following key functions:
Key Functions:
- Manage Access Control, Barrier, and Surveillance Systems
- Manage PFPA's Personnel Security Program
- Provide security assistance in the areas of Information Security and assess security of classified documents in OSD and WHS offices
- Provide Industrial Security guidance to the NCR, evaluating information security aspects of the OSD/WHS contractors
- Advise and oversee the installation and maintenance of locking hardware and specific security apparatus in all OSD and WHS spaces within the Pentagon and the WHS controlled buildings
- Operate the Building Pass Office(s) - Issue building passes for the Pentagon and 117 other associated leased buildings under the control of WHS
- Inspecting vehicles/cargo at the Remote Delivery Facility
- Install and monitor security alarms to include duress alarms
- Operate Classified Waste Incinerator servicing all OSD & WHS offices in the Pentagon & NCR
- Track and create repair/service orders for all exterior doors in the Pentagon
- Issue and manage the Photo Permit Requests for the Pentagon Reservation
