Develop a Strategy for Your Challenge

Challenge Planning—Step 3 of 9

You should create a plan for conducting your challenge or prize competition (MS Word, 74 KB, 4 pages, August 2011) that includes a communications strategy (MS Word, 30 KB, 1 page, August 2011).

This will help you present your business case to management and guide you through your process. It will also serve as a good resource for future efforts.

You'll also want to create an “elevator speech" that summarizes your challenge in 30 seconds or less. You can pitch it to busy executives who don't have time to read your plan.

Next Step

After you've developed your plan, the next step is to choose a platform.
