The White House Central Files:   Oversized Attachments (OA's) are records that were sent to the White House Central and Special Files for separate storage by the White House staff.

Due to limited storage space, these types of materials (such as publications, posters, bumper stickers) were removed from the White House Central and Special Files, and assigned a unique OA number. These OA's are then cross-referenced within their original White House Files location.

About the Oversized Attachments

• Linear feet of materials:   3.1 cubic feet
• Approximate number of pages:   A standard archival box can contain up to 1,000 pages of material
