Air Force Reserve Command provides the U.S. Air Force about 14 percent of their capability with only about four percent of the manpower budget. The Reserve does two missions no one else does in the entire Department of Defense - fixed-wing aerial spray missions to kill mosquitoes in the aftermath of natural disasters and the Hurricane Hunters who monitor hurricanes for the National Weather Service. The Air Force Reserve Command also supports space, flight test, special operations, aerial port operations, civil engineer, security forces, intelligence, military training, communications, mobility support, transportation and services missions. The command is also administratively responsible for all the Air Force's individual mobilization augmentees.
