tabWelcome
Colonel Richard J. Evans III, Commander Welcome to the website for the 155th Air Refueling Wing. Our unit, based at the Lincoln Municipal Airport in Lincoln Neb., is rich in history and experience. Formed in 1946 as the 173rd Fighter Squadron, we have evolved over the years to meet the needs of our ever-changing world. The 155th has flown the KC-135R Stratotanker since 1992, supporting numerous military operations all over the globe.

By far the greatest asset of the 155th Air Refueling Wing is the people who work for the organization. Our Guardsmen bring a wealth of work experience and enthusiasm for accomplishing the mission. Outside of the gates they live, work, and participate in local community activities with great pride.

In turn, the community of Lincoln and the surrounding area has played a tremendous part in supporting our organization over the years. Without the vital encouragement, support, & patriotism demonstrated, many of our unit members would not be able to perform their duties as effectively. With our thanks, we invite you to look at our website and discover more about the 155th Air Refueling Wing and the Nebraska Air National Guard.
