IRMCO 2011 Boosts Government and Industry Collaboration

WASHINGTON, March 16, 2011 – Hundreds of government and industry executives gathered here March 15-16 for GSA’s IRMCO 2011 conference. They tackled an ambitious agenda that included how to make the federal government more efficient, more effective, and more sustainable.
“We need a government that efficiently and effectively uses its resources; collaborates with the public; is nimble, agile, and responsive,” GSA Administrator Martha N. Johnson said during her keynote address March 15.
From formal classes and round-table discussions to informal networking sessions and socials, the Interagency Resources Management Conference provides top-level decision-makers a chance to share ideas and brainstorm ways to meet new challenges in an ever-changing world.
Expert-led sessions and discussion panels dealt head-on with the foremost sustainability, acquisition, and performance management obstacles and information technology pitfalls that confront government management executives.
This year, IRMCO celebrates 50 years of achievement and interaction.
