Donation Inspiration (Carl Norman, ASBP Blood Donor Recruiter, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.)
When injury or disease leaves a person's blood levels low, doctors must rely on blood donors to replenish it. However, deployments and medical restrictions cause decreases in the donor pool, so the Fort Leonard Wood Blood Donor Center relies heavily on soldiers in basic combat or advanced individual training for their donations.

11th Year of Saving Lives at the Air Force Academy (Catherine Tharpe, ASBP Blood Donor Recruiter, Fort Hood, Texas)
September is a month of many changes. It is the end of summer, the beginning of cool weather, and classes are back in session for many. September also is the month the ASBP makes an annual pilgrimage to the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
