Description: This course is an interactive blend of presentations, workshops and practical exercises during which students work in groups tackling challenges, sharing solutions, and developing products for security education and awareness programs.

The course offers security professionals a collaborative environment for networking with colleagues and developing innovative training ideas and workforce-centric training products. Students in the SAFE Course design, develop, and deliver security education and awareness training plans, multimedia products, and presentations. The course take-away products and templates can be immediately implemented in the student's security program.

Length: 3 days

Target Audience: DoD civilian, military and contractor personnel who implement their organization's security awareness and education program.

Clearance Requirements: None

Number of Students Per Course: 30

Prerequisites: Successful completion of the Developing a Security Education and Training Program course and exam (GS104.16/GS104.06). Students may opt to go directly to the final examination, although they must have prerequisite knowledge of the information and material offered in the online course and be prepared to participate in practical exercises and group activities during the Security Awareness for Educators course.

Requirements: Full-time attendance and participation in all sessions.

Notes: CDSE accepts requests to conduct this course offsite and will work with host activities to schedule course dates. Enrollment is on a first-come-first-served basis.
