Candice Dow serves as the Veterans Employment Program Manager for the Small Business Administration, Office of Human Capital Management, Personnel Services Division, located in Washington, D.C. In this role, she is responsible for promoting recruitment, employment, and training for veterans and transitioning military service members under the provisions of Executive Order 13518. In addition to discussing potential employment opportunities within the agency, she also acts as a liaison for veterans who express interest in starting their own small business. She empowers veterans with the information and points of contact to assist in making the desire to be an entrepreneur a reality.
Previously, Candice worked for the Internal Revenue Service as an HR Specialist in the areas of staffing, placement, and background investigations. She takes special interest in counseling veterans on employment opportunities and educating hiring managers on the proper use of special hiring authorities.
Ms. Dow is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps (Semper Fidelis!). She holds a Master's of Science in Business Management from Liberty University in Lychburg, VA.
