9/19/2012 - HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- The Retiree Activities Office will host a Retiree Appreciation Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 at The Landing (formerly known as Club Hill). The free event is held annually to provide resources and information for military retirees and their families.

"This is an incredible opportunity for military retirees and their families to interact with the specialists who administer military retiree benefits, and learn about changes or possible changes to those same benefits," said Dan Petrizzo, Retiree Activities Office director.

Several presentations are scheduled, including the Military Officers Association of America, Social Security Administration, Veteran's Administration, TRICARE, Defense Finance and Accounting Service, and the Air Force Retiree Council. More than 30 federal, state and non-profit organizations will also set up information booths to provide resource materials for event goers.

Hill AFB supports more than 16,000 retirees and their families from the state of Utah, the southern regions of Idaho and Wyoming and eastern Nevada.

For more information, call the Retiree Activities Office at (801) 777-5735 or e-mail retact@hill.af.mil.
