All Members Invited to Inaugural Reception at NEA Building in Washington DC

FEA members who will be in Washington DC later this month for the inauguration of Barack Obama are invited to a reception at the NEA Building a few days before the big event.

The reception will take place at NEA headquarters from 5:00-7:00pm on January 18. If you are able to attend the event, we ask that you fill out and return the attached RSVP form (in PDF or Word formats) no later than January 14, to enable us to plan accordingly.

Although inauguration details are still being finalized, it is clear that Washington, DC will be very crowded and moving around the city will take a lot of patience. Many streets will be closed and security will be tight. We encourage you to visit www.pic2009.org for information about planned events and logistics.

If you have any questions about the reception, please contact Cathey Bernhard in NEA Government Relations at 202-822-7343 or cbernhard@nea.org. We hope to see you on the 18th to celebrate this historic occasion.
