The Overseas Federation of Teachers (OFT) was founded in 1963 to represent the professional, economic and social interests of teachers employed in the Department of Defense schools. The OFT now represents teachers working in Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Bahrain, Greece and Italy.
The American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO, is the parent organization of the OFT. |

The OFT Executive Committee is pleased to announce that Linda Hogan has been selected as the European Director for the Overseas Federation of Teachers commencing with school year 08-09. Linda has served the OFT in many capacities and has demonstrated that she has the skills and qualities of an outstanding union leader. She has been local president, local union representative, a member of the OFT Executive Committee and has represented OFT on many committees and task forces. Please join us in welcoming Linda to her new leadership position in the OFT. |
