Using methodology developed from previous cemetery investigations, the installation augmented an in situ investigation of a 19th century burial located at Hunter Army Airfield, Ga., through an integrated support team. Through this in situ evaluation, CRM staff was able to accurately identify the cemetery boundaries and encouraged project proponents to avoid the cemetery resulting in a cost avoidance of $525K.
