  2. We’re always working on enhancing our website for you, so we’ve posted some new pages about Special Separation Benefit, Voluntary Separation Incentive, and Disability Severance Pay. If you are a military member who previously received one of these payments and are now thinking about submitting an application for retirement, be sure to consider the effect separation or severance pay might have on your eligibility.
  3. We want our workforce to reflect this great nation of ours. So DFAS proudly supports the recruitment, hiring and retention of talented and qualified Americans with disabilities, including many who proudly served our country. We just established the DFAS Careers for Americans with Disabilities (DCAD) initiative to increase the diversity and strength of our staff. National Disability Employment Awareness Month is the perfect time for you to check us out. Please send your resume or questions to DCAD@dfas.mil. Share this with anyone you know who might be interested in joining our team!

  9. As we near the end of National Customer Service Week, thank you all for being the best customers in the world! Since money was first appropriated for the Continental Army in 1775, civilians have worked alongside the military to support our men and women in uniform. Today, DFAS fills this role by providing payment services for you and communicating via email, Facebook, fax, mail and phone. Share this to let your fellow freedom fighters know that DFAS is here to help!
