For over 35 years, DoDEA Pacific has been capturing the co-curricular, learning and cultural activities of their students throughout the Pacific in a publication known as the Pacifica. The Pacific started out as a semiannual print publication then eventually due to costs was decreased to an annual then biennial publication. Every year students, parent and teachers would work together to submit photos that fell into the three activity categories now known as Yearn to Learn, Beyond Basics and Cool Cultures.
Starting in School Year 2009-10 the Pacifica was morphed into the PacificaOnline, as the name denotes it is now an online publication but it also now is open to video submissions. This allows it to be published once again on a semiannual basis and it also can reach a wider audience. Families can share photos with friends and family back home or with deployed parents. We hope that you enjoy perusing the PacificaOnline. We are proud to showcase the rich and diverse activities our students participate in as part of a well rounded educational experience.
