MISSION
Provides security policy, guidance and oversight (except for Information Systems Security) to DISA activities worldwide, using a multi-discipline and risk management approach. It also provides traditional security assistance in information, personnel, physical and special security reviews/assessments in support of the DISA's Security Certification and Accreditation process.
FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for developing and issuing policy documentation and guidance to ensure standardized, worldwide implementation of all Executive, Congressional, DoD directives, and other regulatory requirements within the traditional security areas.
- Responsible for managing the Violence in the Workplace Prevention Program.
- Responsible for managing the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) program; Special Security Officer (SSO).
- Responsible for managing the Personnel Security Program, processing and reviewing all clearance requirements, to include adverse cases for DISA personnel (military, civilian, and contractor) worldwide.
- Responsible for managing DISA Communications Security (COMSEC) resources worldwide.
