Estimates and Projections

County Population Estimates and Rankings: 2005 — In 2004, Flagler County, Fla., was the nation’s fastest-growing county. Did this northeastern Florida enclave repeat this distinction in 2005? The answer will be revealed via Internet tables showing population estimates, rankings and components of change for the nation’s 3,141 counties and county equivalents since Census 2000 and up to July 1, 2005. (Tentatively scheduled for release mid-March.)

Domestic Migration in the United States: 2000 to 2004 — This report describes recent patterns of population redistribution as reflected by the domestic net migration component of population estimates data. Analysis will focus on net migration for a number of different kinds of geographic areas, including regions, divisions, states, metropolitan and micropolitan statistical areas and counties. The primary focus of this report is the post-Census 2000 period. (Tentatively scheduled for release mid-March.)
