Mission:
To implement a uniform application of Sensitive
Compartmented Information (SCI) policy and provide security advise, assistance
and regulatory oversight to approximately 400 Department of the Army SCI
facilities and Department of Defense (DoD) activities located throughout the
Military District of Washington (MDW), Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Functions:
-Provides HQDA SSO support and executive
oversight to approximately 4,000 SCI personnel
positions to include National Guard, Reserves,
Active Duty Military, Department of the Army
Civilian, and Contractor Personnel.
-Responsible to the SEC ARMY, G-2 and HQDA Army
Staff for over 400 SCI Facilities (SCIFs) in the
Military District of Washington (MDW) to include
Pennsylvania and Maryland.
-Performs Staff
Assistance Visits (SAV); investigates and
reports security incidents and infractions.
