Colonel Christine M. Burckle assumed duties as Vice Commander, 151st Air Refueling Wing, Utah Air National Guard, Salt Lake City, Utah, on 1 Oct 2011. Her duties include managing the 151 Air Refueling Wing staff, and providing direct support to the Wing Commander.
She most recently served a four year assignment as the Director of Human Resources, Utah National Guard, and served for 2 years as the J1, Joint Personnel Officer, on the Utah Joint Force Headquarters Staff. As the Director of Human Resources, she was the primary advisor to The State Adjutant General on matters pertaining to manpower and human resource management.
Colonel Burckle served in a variety of command, operational, and staff positions to include the 151s Mission Support Flight Commander, 151 ARW Community Manager, KC-135R Standardization and Evaluation Navigator, Wing Plans Officer, and Group Executive Officer. She was activated for Operation Noble Eagle and deployed for Operations Enduring Freedom, Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Col Burckle has over 3000 flying hours in the KC-135. Col. Burckle was born in Marion, OH. and received her commission from Air Force ROTC, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in 1988.
