Recent Changes to the Family and Medical Leave Act
NAF employees are subject to the FMLA administered by OPM and codified in 5 USC Chapter 63, Subchapter V. The FMLA was recently amended to provide an entitlement to qualifying exigency leave and to expand the coverage for family members for a covered servicemember undergoing medical treatment, recuperation, or therapy for a serious injury or illness.
