Join us September 29, 2011 from 9:30AM to 4PM, for a hiring fair for veteran job seekers, active duty military members, Guard and Reserve members and eligible spouses at El Zaribah Shrine, 40th St. & Van Buren in Phoenix. This event will be a one-of-a-kind FREE hiring fair for both employers and job seekers. All of the employers attending actually have positions they are
looking to fill.
Employers and job seekers must pre-register for FREE at HoH.GreatJob.net or fill out and send in the attached form. Please register prior to September
19, 2011.
Additionally, there will be a job preparation workshop being conducted on September 28, 2011 during the hours 0930 - 1600 at the same location as this hiring event. Classes being conducted include; Resume preparation, Dress for Success, How to leverage Social Media, and Improving your Odds at a Job Fair. All individuals who register for the Hiring Event will also receive a separate email regarding the job preparation workshop including registration instructions.
This hiring fair and the job preparation workshops is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training (DOL VETS), the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and local chambers in partnership with the Arizona Office for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), the Employer Partnership of the Armed Forces (EPAF), and the Arizona Department of Economic Security.
Request all units and organizations receiving this email complete the widest dissemination possible of this information through your drill letters, emails, and web sites.

The Department of Defense's expanded Military Spouse Career advancement Accounts (MYCAA) program is now offering up to $6,000 to military Spouses who are interested in pursuing degree programs, licenses or credentials leading to careers in high growth, high demand portable career fields.
The MYCAA financial assistance pays for expenses
such as post-secondary education, training,tuition, licensing, and
credentialing fees. This includes degree programs (e.g Associates, Bachelors, Masters, Doctoral and Post Doctoral.
Eligibility: Spouses of active duty members and activated members of the National Guard and Reserve Components. Period of eligibility for spouses of Guard and Reserve members is from the date of the Alert or Warning Order for Military Recall or Mobilization, through activation and deployment until 180 days following De-Mobilization.
