AESDirect has been upgraded to include a "Retrieve as Template" feature.

This new feature will change the shipment retrieval as follows:

After a shipment has been retrieved, from either "Shipment Reporting" or "Retrieve an Existing Shipment", the first screen of the retrieval process will now have the following buttons:

• View SED
• Print SED
• Use as a Template

The first two buttons functions have not changed. When the new option, "Use as a Template" is chosen, the full shipment data will be retrieved and placed in the Shipment Viewer screen for use. However, since the SED is being retrieved as a template to create another new SED, the AES Shipment Reference Number will be blanked out. This will require the user to enter a new Shipment Reference Number.

Users are encouraged to use this option when using an existing shipment to create a new one, since it will avoid the possibility of overwriting the original shipment by forgetting to enter a new Shipment Reference Number.
