Which President who has appeared on U.S. coins & currency was sometimes referred to as the “silent member” of the Continental Congress?
@Mrs_LMR Haha, I'll make sure to pass the suggestion on!

@benjaminstrong You're very welcome. I'm sure your children would love to see the presses in action at the Philadelphia tour!
@Mrs_LMR Hope you enjoy the tour! Let us know if you have any suggestions.

The rotary press was discontinued in 1995, because it was unable to sustain long production runs.
In the early 1990s, the BEP produced some currency on a web-fed rotary press. This press printed both sides of the notes in a single pass.
BEP Fact: Since 1968, all notes have been dry intaglio printed.
@CoachCooper14 That has to be legislated by Congress. If you feel that's a worthy cause, lobby your representative.
@gwardhome Actually, the United States Mint does not print money, that's the Bureau of Engraving & Printing.
BEP Fact: In 1957, the first high-speed rotary press was capable of printing 2,400 sheets an hour.
Later, power presses were capable of printing 900 sheets per hour.
A master printer, working at full speed, could produce approximately 40 sheets per hour using a hand-operated spider press.
