If we are going to make sure that the American people are empowered to succeed in our country, getting a good education is a very important piece of that. As I travel around the 19th Congressional District, I'm hearing from superintendents, teachers and principals that some of our kids are dropping out. In fact, some of them are even dropping out in Junior High.

THE EMPOWERMENT PROJECT: FEDERAL SUNSET ACT FORCES TOUGH DECISIONS

The Federal Sunset Act would give us an effective avenue to assess what the federal government should be doing and what it should stop trying to do. While Congress will still need to make the tough decisions, the sunset process provides the necessary information and forces us to act.
