Sovereign Review Team

The U.S. Entity has convened a team of tribal, state and federal government representatives to help identify and study policy and technical matters associated with the Treaty Review process. The Sovereign Review Team is comprised of five tribal members designated to represent 15 tribes; state representatives from Oregon, Washington, Montana and Idaho; and 11 federal agency representatives including the Corps and BPA Treaty co-coordinators.

The 2014/2024 Treaty Review

Over the years, the Columbia River Treaty has provided significant benefits on both sides of the border through coordinated river management. It remains the standard against which other international water coordination agreements are compared.
