Secretary Sebelius Addresses Opening Session of AIDS 2012

Tonight in Washington, DC, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius addressed the opening session of the XIX International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012).

“This week is a chance for each of us to arm ourselves with the latest science, to trade best practices, to learn from each other, and then go back to our communities and countries with renewed energy and determination to finish the job,” she said. “On behalf of the United States, we are proud to be your hosts for the 19th International AIDS Conference.  And we are honored to be your partners in this important work.”

    Thank you Secretary Sebelius. I feel that after 30 years of distress, education and humble pleading that I can move onto other health and legal disparities that plague society. I love America and am proud to say that I am a positive veteran of this great experiment.
