Rep Tim Walberg Honors Fallen Police Officer

Washington, D.C. - Today, Representative Tim Walberg awarded the Law Enforcement Congressional Badge of Bravery to the parents of an officer killed in the line of duty last year, Officer James Bonneau.  Mr. Marc and Amy Bonneau accepted the award on their son’s behalf.

“We can never bring back Officer Bonneau or erase the pain his family went through.  But we can honor his memory by recognizing his sacrifice and bravery.  He was a real hero.  One who waved aside his own injuries to make sure incoming officers were not harmed.  Today we salute him,” said Congressman Walberg following the presentation.

Congress passed the Law Enforcement Congressional Badge of Bravery in 2008 to honor officers who engage in acts of bravery while in the line of duty.
