SelectUSA can advocate on behalf of a local, state or regional economic development organization (EDO) to help retain or attract firms engaged in global location competitions. This service is provided in a strictly geographically neutral manner with respect to locations within the United States.

Who May Use This Service:
Advocacy can be requested by a Governor, Mayor, or County Executive of a jurisdiction in global business location competitions against foreign jurisdictions. The request for advocacy may also be initiated by an EDO.

What Happens Next:
SelectUSA will coordinate the U.S. Government approach to ensure that the global business in question understands the United States interest in the business being located within our territory. As appropriate, SelectUSA will coordinate the engagement of senior leadership from within the U.S. Government to make the case directly to the company.
