Standards and Compliance Division

 

The Standards and Compliance Division (SCD) of the Facilities Services Directorate (FSD), through its four branches – Environmental, Sustainability and Energy Branch (ESEB), Facilities Emergency Management Office (FEMO), Occupational Safety & Health Branch (OSHB) and the Office of the Pentagon Fire Marshal (OPFM) – provides support services to protect the safety and welfare of individuals on the Pentagon Reservation, provides environmental management and fire prevention services and enforces building code standards for the properties owned and managed under WHS within the National Capital Region (NCR).

SCD Branches

Environmental, Sustainability, and Energy Branch (CAC Required)

The Environmental, Sustainability and Energy Branch (ESEB) manages environmental compliance, sustainability, and energy programs at WHS-managed properties in the National Capital Region (NCR). ESEB strives to ensure WHS maintains healthy and sustainable facilities in compliance with all environmental, sustainability, and energy laws and mandates.

Facilities Emergency Management Office (SHAREPOINT: CAC Required)

The Facilities Emergency Management Office (FEMO) provides mission readiness for emergency management, contingency operations, and establishes collaborative governance processes to ensure the safety and welfare of FSD personnel and building tenants.

Occupational Safety and Health Branch (CAC Required)

The Occupational Safety and Health Branch (OSHB) strategy is to help prevent occupational injuries and illnesses through timely hazard identification, facilitate resourceful and relevant hazard abatement and provide reliable and responsive communication.

Office of the Pentagon Fire Marshal (OPFM) (CAC Required)

The mission of the Office of the Pentagon Fire Marshal (OPFM) is to protect lives, property and minimize business/mission interruption by fostering a fire safe environment through education, regulation, enforcement, fire and life safety programs, audits, design review, emergency response, investigation, and data collection.

This mission is accomplished through the efforts of a highly trained and dedicated staff in a partnership with our building occupants, components, fellow departments, agencies and contractors.
