TACOM

TACOM LCMC provides a broad spectrum of armament and munitions technologies and products by researching, developing, engineering, and leveraging advanced systems integration of technology into both ground systems and their support equipment throughout the lifecycle. Additionally, TACOM LCMC ensures warfighting readiness for the soldier by purchasing ground combat, combat support and combat service support items for the military.

PEO GCS

PEO GCS manages the development, systems integration, acquisition, testing, fielding, sustainment and improvement of Ground Combat Systems in accordance with the Army’s Transformation Campaign Plan. This is done to ensure safe, effective, suitable and supportable capabilities are provided to the Warfighter.

PEO CS&CSS

PEO CS&CSS is the leader in Life Cycle Management of current and future US Army Combat Support and Combat Service Support vehicles and equipment. The PEO CS&CSS, in concert with its partners in the DOD Acquisition Community, manages and directs these life cycle management activities:

  • Pre-acquisition activities from Concept Refinement to Technology Development
  • Systems Acquisition
  • Production and Fielding
  • Operational Sustainment and Support

Additionally, TARDEC programs serve all branches of America’s Armed Forces. Specific Department of Defense elements TARDEC routinely serves include:

  • Army and Defense research laboratories
  • United States Marine Corps
  • United States Navy
  • United States Air force
  • National Guard
Other Federal Agencies

Various TARDEC programs also serve other Federal Government Agencies. To name just a few, TARDEC has relationships with the Department of Homeland Security, National Weather Service, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Energy, and Treasury Department.

In an effort to provide our Soldiers with the best available equipment and resources, TARDEC is partnered with many of industry’s top automotive and research/development corporations and institutions. Through this technology transfer, interests of all parties are met and the best equipment is provided to our nation’s warfighters at the least possible cost.
