Note: Be very careful how you save files using a browser: the browser might recode things on the fly as it saves the file, breaking anchor links or dropping required accessibility code.

To save HTML template pages: right click the link to the file you want to save and choose "Save Target As..." ("Save Link As ..." in Firefox). In the dialog box that pops up, set Save as type to "All Files." Edit the file extension to .htm or .html.

To save Dreamweaver template files: right click the link to the file you want to save and choose "Save Target As..." ("Save Link As ..." in Firefox). In the dialog box that pops up, set Save as type to " All Files." Also change the file extension to .dwt (not .htm).

We're offering two versions of Dreamweaver templates. Dreamweaver MX (and above) offer additional functionality that you might want to take advantage of, but requires that the embedded Dreamweaver code be written differently.

A manual change is required for those who have already converted to 3.2.1:

    More information about metadata.
