Tony Schumacher and his Crew Chief explain what goes on behind the scenes.

TONY SCHUMACHER: The 2008 season was outstanding for the US Army Top-Fuel Race Team. We broke a number of records, secured our fifth consecutive championship, we have a brand new team this year and with it, even greater drive to show what the US Army Racing Team is made of. I'm excited to introduce you to our new crew chief, Mike Green.
MIKE GREEN: My name is Mike Green. I'm the crew chief of the Army Top Fuel Dragster. Our goal for the season is to overall win the championship. People see a little part of it here at the racetrack, but there is just countless hours of preparation at the shop. You know, that's the key when we go out there and run our best, and hopefully win the race. It's a lot of work. I mean putting a team together and teaching them how to work together and how we want things done, and then sharing the winner's circle with them. We do comparisons to the Army with our team. Obviously, the teamwork, the dedication that the Soldiers have to serve our country. We try to instill that same dedication in our team members. The technology, you know, we try to be the most technologically advanced racecar out here, and obviously our Army is the most technologically advanced Army in the world. So there are a lot of similarities. The team and the guys that you bring up, and the new guys; obviously it is the ultimate thrill to win. Sharing the winner's circle with them and the driver, Tony. It's a great thing. As far as we are concerned, we're the number one car, he's the number one driver, and we're the number one team. We're going to go out and win the championship in 09.
