NHRA TOP FUEL

We’ve got the strongest, best-equipped people in the world. On the side of our car. Every race, somebody gives Tony something. Pictures, or medals, or something that he’ll carry with him down the drag strip. You know, for somebody that’s injured or killed in battle.

I carry the purple heart for a man who’d lost his life. His brother asked me to do it on his birthday. And we won the race by setting a world record and winning the last race of the year.

We have ashes that are put in the parachute packs from soldiers from family members. Tony, when he throws the chutes, it basically spreads the ashes at over 300 miles an hour.

It’s an honor for us to be able to represent the men and women in the armed forces. Like in Louden, you know, when we won the race, it was the Army car, and to stick that flag down in the door and for Ryan to have the American flag on the US Army car going around the race track, I had chills all over me.

You know, that was awesome. In New Hampshire, to be able to put that American flag to represent the US, to represent all those soldiers, you know, past, present and future, the people that have protected our country, and will continue to protect our country. That’s what it’s all about.

This was a commemorative paint job for the US Nationals. The anniversary of 9-11 is coming up here, and this was a way for the Army to do a commemorative thing. These are all the people who were killed in the attacks of 9-11 in the Pentagon.

It's definitely, I think, the greatest sponsor that has ever been in an NHRA drag race.
