Services

Mandated Family Advocacy Program Trainings
The Family Advocacy Specialists are required per COMDTINST 1750.7C to provide yearly Family Advocacy Training to all USCG units within the assigned AOR.

CO/XO Trainings
The Family Advocacy Specialists are required per COMDTINST 1750.7C to provide advance Family Advocacy Training to those in Supervisory and Management type of USCG positions.

Coordinate Treatment Services
The FAS contacts and coordinates counseling services for both victims and offenders involved in domestic violence.

Crisis Intervention
The FAS responds to crisis situations, and refers individuals to the appropriate resources.

Special Needs
The Family Advocacy Specialist may assist in special needs enrollment, and in conjunction with the Family Resource Specialist manage at-risk and high-risk for family violence cases.
