We are here to assist employees with counseling, financial management, rape/sexual assault, critical incidents, and suicide prevention . If we can’t provide direct assistance through our programs we will assist you in finding other resources.
CG
Support Program
The CG SUPRT programs offers value-added life-balance support that is
seamlessly integrated into a suite of a services. This integration enables Coast
Guard members, civilian employees, and their dependents to access important
resources and expertise that helps them balance work and life issues.
additionally, CG SUPRT provides up to twelve sessions of counseling from a local
provider. Detailed information is available on the web at

Financial
Management
Classes
in financial management are available to all units in our AOR. For individuals
who need personal assistance with financial management please contact the EA
Coordinator for an appointment.
Suicide
Prevention
In case of any threat or gesture exhibited by a member indicating they may be at
risk for self harm assign an individual to accompany the member at all times,
obtain professional screening at the nearest medical facility or by a physician
and contact the EAPC. If there is an immediate threat contact 911 for
assistance. For general information regarding issues of self-harm please contact
the EAPC. To arrange your annual mandatory suicide prevention training please
contact the EAPC or Chaplain.
Rape/
Sexual Assault
Rape or sexual assault victim call (800) 656-4673 to be connected to the nearest
rape crisis center .If a member reports being the victim of a sexual assault,
assure the safety of the member and assign a same gender individual to accompany
the member at all times, obtain a professional sexual assault examination at an
appropriate medical facility. Encourage the victim to not bath or wash prior to
the examination. Contact the EAPC to assign a VSP Victim Support Person, also
contact CGIS or local law enforcement.
Red Cross
Liaison
For assistance from the Red Cross regarding issues such as emergency leave
contact your ombudsman. If you cannot contact your ombudsman contact the EAPC.
Violence
in the Workplace
If there
is an immediate threat of violence in the workplace call 911 and base security.
If there is a concern about a potentially violent workplace situation contact
the EAPC and if the Command deems it necessary the EAPC will call together the
Threat Assessment Team. To arrange for Annual Violence in the Workplace
Prevention training please contact the EAPC.
Critical
Incident Stress Management
A critical incident is any event of such emotional significance that it may
overwhelm a person’s or groups ability to cope. CISM is a team approach to get
impacted personnel back to work. For assistance with stress management following
a critical incident contact the EAPC.
