More than 100 memorials, monuments, and markers reside on the grounds of Fort Monmouth, N.J. A monument, memorial or marker serves as lasting evidence of someone or something notable or great. They are tributes to our collective past and they help keep memories alive.

As a result of 2005 Base Realignment and Closure legislation, Fort Monmouth is scheduled to close in September 2011. Army regulations require that the fort provide families the opportunity to make decisions regarding the future location of their family membersAca,!a,,c memorial well in advance of the postAca,!a,,cs closure.
