​ Start of FY2013 Feedback Period

Thank you for your interest in providing feedback on the FY2013 STEP. At this time, the FHWA is requesting suggestions for the lines of research that should be pursued within each emphasis area.
 
For example, stakeholders who have an interest in the “GIS/Spatial Information for Improved Decision Making” emphasis area might suggest that it is important to research ways to identify business models to enhance transportation decision-making using geospatial data.
 
The FHWA does not seek specific, detailed research proposals and discourages researchers from submitting proposals of that nature. Specific research work statements, if pursued under the STEP, will be crafted by FHWA, after careful consideration of stakeholder views.

How to submit feedback:
  1. In order to submit feedback, you must first register for an account on TransportationResearch.gov by clicking the first link below.
  2. Once an administrator approves your account, you will be able to log in and submit feedback using the second link below.
  3. In the feedback form, please select the most appropriate emphasis area for your comment. If you would like to submit feedback on the STEP in general or on crosscutting research topics, please select "Overall STEP Comments".
  4. Enter all other required information and indicate whether you would like to receive an email confirmation that your comment has been submitted and/or email updates about the STEP program.
  5. When you are finished, click 'Save' in the upper left-hand corner of your screen.
 
We appreciate your feedback and thank you for your interest in the STEP Implementation Strategy. The feedback period closed September 28, 2012. At this time, the FHWA is no longer soliciting comments for the FY2013 STEP.​​​​
