Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Luis V. Gutierrez (D-IL), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Domestic and International Monetary Policy, Trade and Technology, released the following comment on SEIU’s statement regarding the responsibilities of major banks:

"A company's business model directly reflects its priorities, and the SEIU report calls into question whether minority and low-income consumers are a priority for America’s biggest banks. I remain committed to ensuring that minority consumers are given access to the full range of financial services that are so important to building a solid financial future."
