ISTANBUL, Turkey (Oct. 14, 2011) — Seaman Apprentice Stephen Carr and Cryptologic Technician (Technical) 3rd Class Jacob Blackwell lower the national ensign during evening colors aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Philippine Sea (CG 58) while in port Istanbul, during a four-day port visit. Philippine Sea is on a regularly scheduled deployment in the Black Sea and serves to promote peace and security in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
