USS STEPHEN W. GROVES, At Sea (June 7, 2011) -- Members of the Spanish armed forces maritime interdiction operations team attached to the Spanish navy ESPS Vencedora underway to board USS Stephen W. Groves (FFG 29), serving as a vessel suspected of illicit trafficking, June 7 as a part of Phoenix Express 2011 (PE-11). A three-week evolution divided into two phases of training, PE-11 is designed to enhance regional maritime partnerships among the 13 participating nations in their efforts to deter illicit trafficking at sea.
