A Navy SEAL inspects another SEAL’s altimeter during a military free fall training event as part of the Jackal Stone 11 multi-national special operations forces exercise on Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base, Romania, Sept. 15. The altimeter allowed the SEALs and Norwegian Special Forces operators to determine when they were at the right altitude to deploy their parachutes. The purpose of the exercise, being held in Romania, Bulgaria and Ukraine, is to enhance special operations forces capacity and interoperability between the nine participating nations, while simultaneously building cooperation and partnerships.
