    Team Young Range players can now call themselves two-time champions. After winning the Commander's Cup Preseason Volleyball Championship and remaining undefeated during the season, the squad won the Commander's Cup Postseason Volleyball Championship May 13, defeating the Jungle Cats in a best two-of-three match at Smith Fitness Center. The Jungle Cats of 11th Engineer Battalion got off to a quick start in the first set, leading 13-5. Team Young Range of 2nd Battalion, 29th Infantry Regiment, closed the gap to 21-20, but after a failed spike out of bounds, the Jungle Cats took the serve to seal the win 25-20. After Team Young Range was down, coach Fatu Iaulualo gave the team words of encouragement.

    The Reverse Sprint Triathlon is back. The annual event, which includes a 5K run, 20K bike ride and a 550-meter swim, is set for June 6, beginning at the Family Entertainment Center on Eckel Street. "The Reverse Sprint Triathlon is challenging," said Kelly Pulliam, race director. "You can go out and run all of these events separately on any given day, but when you put them together, it's more difficult. The most challenging part of it is that it's nonstop. You have to be able to have stamina and determination to finish the race."

The top female runner was Laura Wells, 3rd BCT, with a time of 43:45:00.

It was open to troops with upper or lower body injuries, spinal cord damage, traumatic brain injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Fraga is holding an Ultameter, a testing device which can measure a sample's total dissolved solids, or TDS, as well as its temperature and pH Level. Knowing these values informs water purification specialists of the feasibility of utilizing a water source before the in-depth work begins.
