The Army band program also offers a limited number of openings for conductors. As a conductor, you will enter the Army band as an officer. If you possess unique musical and leadership abilities and are interested in becoming an Army band's conductor, the requirements are listed below.
Duties
Entry-level positions to conduct, supervise and administrate professional musicians in Army bands throughout the world.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in applied music or music education is required. Must have instrumental or vocal conducting experience at high school, college or professional level. Must meet Army Officer Candidate School or Reserve Officer Training Corps requirements. Must be less than 35 years of age on date of commissioning.

Competitive, includes all military benefits.
