NEW LISTS OF TOBACCO PERMITTEES Manufacturers of tobacco, cigars, and cigarettes, and dealers in tobacco materials: Purpose. The purpose of this industry circular is to advise you that the National Office has prepared separate lists which show the names, addresses, and permit numbers of (1) manufacturers of tobacco; (2) cigars; (3) cigarettes; and (4) dealers in tobacco materials, who were operating under Federal permits on January 1, 1957. Such lists are now available for limited distribution by Assistant Regional Commissioners, Alcohol and Tobacco Tax, in filling requests for such lists. Requests for lists. Requests for copies of the lists should clearly indicate whether you desire the list covering manufacturers of tobacco, cigars, cigarettes, or dealers in tobacco materials. The request should be directed to the Assistant Regional Commissioner, Alcohol and Tobacco Tax, for the region in which your factory or establishment is located. Inquiries. Inquiries in regard to this industry circular should refer to the number thereof and should be directed to the appropriate Assistant Regional Commissioner, Alcohol and Tobacco Tax. Dwight E. Avis
